When you have a bug problem, you want it to be handled as fast and as simply as possible. TERRO® Ant & Roach Baits offer a 2-in-1 solution that eliminates the need for multiple products. The top portion of the bait station houses a sweet liquid bait to attract ants, while the bottom portion contains a protein-based paste bait to target roaches and silverfish. For your convenience, each of the four bait stations comes pre-filled and ready to use.
Liquid Bait Eliminates Ants
Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. As ants forage for food, they are easily attracted to the sweet liquid inside the bait stations. After finding the bait, worker ants consume it and leave behind a pheromone trail leading back to the colony. This trail lets other worker ants know where the newly discovered food supply is. This is why you will see more ants in the beginning.
Meanwhile, the active ingredient is slowly interfering with each ant’s digestive system, ultimately killing them, but leaving enough time for the ants to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is necessary so that foraging ants can make several trips to the bait, allowing you to get rid of both the ants you see and the ants you don’t.
Paste Bait Targets Roaches
The paste bait, located in the bottom portion of the trap, features a protein-based bait that attracts and kills roaches and silverfish, as well as some non-sweet-eating ants. Just like the liquid bait, it is designed to attract the target pest, so you may initially see more insects. As the active ingredient takes its toll, populations will decrease. In addition, there are three entry points to increase the effectiveness.
Where to Place Ant & Roach Baits
Place TERRO® Ant & Roach Baits near ant trails and locations where roaches and other insects are numerous. It’s also a good idea to place bait stations anywhere insects may try to enter your home. The compact size of the bait stations makes them perfect for discreet placement along baseboards, in corners, on counters, under and behind appliances, on windowsills and near garbage cans.
Bait Stays Fresh
For your convenience, TERRO® Ant & Roach Baits feature a stay-fresh tab that will keep the liquid bait fresh until it’s opened. Once you’ve chosen the perfect location, simply break off the tab and put the bait station in place!
Where to Place Ant & Roach Baits
TERRO® Ant & Roach Baits are very easy to use. Before placing the bait stations, be sure to remove other sources of food, such as crumbs, sugar and grease spots to prevent attracting them elsewhere. Do not place bait where you’ve already sprayed insecticides, as the pests may avoid the bait stations.
Hold the bait station firmly with bait pack tab facing up. Break off the tab being careful not to spill the bait.
Place the bait station on a flat surface near signs of target pests. Place additional bait stations anywhere ants, roaches or silverfish may enter your home. Heavily infested areas may require additional stations.
Monitor placements regularly, but do not interfere with the pests or bait stations. Replace when bait is depleted or every 3 months!

I brought it to work after spending weeks with teeny tiny ants crawling on me at my desk.
Only used 3 out of the 4 baits, and within four days, I am relaxing. No ants. Great product! Like that there's NO ODOR, too.
WOW Terro, you REALLY know what you are doing! Within 2 days of putting out 3 Hot Shots, they worked and within a week I’m 100% ANT-FREE in my kitchen - OMG I AM ANT FREE!!! 1 was grand central bar watering hole for so many ants I almost had a heart attack that first night they discovered it! Then there were about 10 random strays for a few days after that. Then barely 1 a day since. These suckers are the biggest ants I’ve ever seen and they were AGGRESSIVE from day one of ant season crawling on me in my kitchen! The floor ones were scary little buggers, not like the twenty tiny ones on the sink area. Both sets of ants are gone. I haven’t even seen a tiny ant in a solid week. I’m going to buy another set for longer term maintenance and the stragglers because these traps are by far the best traps I’ve used out of 5 other kinds that didn’t even make a dent in helping solve my seasonal ant problem. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
You need to change the name of this. I bought this to kill silverfish, which has been an ongoing problem for years. If I had known this was available, I would have bought it years ago. So, I put this out as soon as it arrived. Not only did the silverfish enjoy the bait but several hundred (it looked like) of the smallest ants I have ever seen. I can finally go to the bathroom without having to kill silverfish as soon as I get in there. Now, the only problem I have with them is the one that was on the ceiling. Don't know what it was doing up there, but I guess it came down for the bait and ate it and died. This really works for silverfish FINALLY! They have been a real pest in my life, and I am happy to have Terro take them out for me to have a happier life.
I have use your ant bait....and was thoroughly impressed by how fast the product did its job. So I'm not going to hesitate at using the ant/roach bait at this point. Thank you for you product!
How long does it usually take for the ants to no longer appear? How long does a bait last before it needs to be replaced.

It depends on how many colonies you have, for a single colony it usually takes 2 weeks, but for multiple colonies will take more time, you should replace the bait when there is not any liquid inside of it.
